SlikStik Company

Questions regarding building your own arcade system to run MAME and other emulators.

SlikStik Company

Postby rhand » Mon Nov 05, 2007 10:50 pm

I was wondering if you used the company before or after you received your control panel.

I used your companies to build my Arcade unit also, but I'm having trouble with SlikStik.

It seems to be impossible to get what you want. They are still on the web, but you can't get any emails back from them or phone calls. I ordered back 3 months ago, but they where waiting for parts from another company. Now I can't get Visa to request information, as it's over 3 months.

What should I do.

I'm in Canada and I'm to far away from NJ.

Please respond

Can you request info from them, just to see if they answer you back?

Rhand I'm in the same boat as you are. I ordered my quad player control panel from them over a month ago..I was beginning to worry so I tried to get in touch with them. That was a mistake, I wrote over 6 emails spanning over 3 weeks.I finally received one back saying it was going to be at least 2 and a half more months before I would have my control panel.I ordered an overlay with mine so it takes 3 months they said????I haven't heard from them since. They don't answer there phones, or emails, for a company who deals with customers, they sure are crappy at "Customer Service". I would try emailing them until you get a response. That is what I did.If you want to know something about their products maby I can help..What was it regarding?

Have you heard of anything from the company yet, or do you know where to order this from somewhere else?

I ordered a control panel, as of now, I stopped payment and received my money back.

You better do the same before you can't.

Look some where else.

I am also in the same boat. How can you cancel payment? its been 2 months for me and I cant get a hold of them. They also over charged me for the controller. I am considering hiring a friend who is a lawyer and filing a class action lawsuit. Anyone who is in the same boat please email or call me.

order number

Postby broth9640 » Sat Dec 01, 2007 9:30 pm

my invoice # 6239
my order # 1582891357

has anyone recieved their controller with a number that comes after that?
I ordered on the 10th of October. It was a custom one with the lighted track ball and joysticks also a lightning overlay. I just reread the company policy about ship times. It stated that custom orders can take up to 5 weeks. Also that they have the right to change ship times at any given time.

Just a heads up that I was going to go the Slikstick route as well. I tried to call and email them a couple of pre-sales questions, but never heard back from them. I ended up going with an X-Arcade unit, the tankstick. It's less than half the price of the slikstick units and showed up on my doorstep in a week.

They've been excellent support-wise, even answering the phone the day after Thanksgiving. Even though the unit may not have as many options or buttons as Slik's it's got everything I need, plus it comes with a tough surface coat on it already, so you don't need to spend extra on an overlay.

Oh, and mamemarquees carries side art, marquees and bezels to match the X-arcade logs.

You may want to check them out...

Sorry you guys are having problems with SlikSticks. I never received e-mail responses from them but at least they answered the phone when I purchased (while ago). Looks like I'll have to stop recommending them in my article.
