Arcade Monitor

Postby Bubushkinator » Mon Feb 23, 2009 11:24 pm

If I purchase a 27" Wells Gardner I will need to purchase a monitor bezel. But I have found a UAII Monitor Cover from mameroom.com at http://www.mameroom.com/ProductDetail.asp?ID=UAIIBEZEL and I was wondering if I could buy this instead of a monitor bezel or to buy both...

Did you buy a Flat or curved. I think they discontinued the curved.
I hope you bought the Monitor mounting kit from Mameroom (this is a MUST). You will need it to mount your WG.

I created my own bezel from the Mame Room instructions. It came out very well.

How to create a custom bezel:
A custom bezel may be created using a 27” x 25” x 1/8” sheet of
Plexiglas (Not included). Temporarily install the sheet of
Plexiglas against the bezel frame panels. Using a felt tipped
marker or pencil, carefully trace the outline of the monitor/TV
screen area. Remove the Plexiglas sheet. Using masking tape,
tape off the inside area where the screen will be displayed. Use
flat paint (either spray paint or brush on latex) and paint the
unmasked areas of the Plexiglas. Allow to dry and remove
masking tape. The painted side of the Plexiglas will face in
towards the cabinet. It is recommended to install the bezel frame
using Velcro strips (not included) placed on the rear of the bezel
and along the bezel frame panels.
NOTE: You may need to use a razor blade and carefully cut around the edge of the masking tape)
