White Noise Storm on iOS 6 beta

My wife and I both love White Noise Storm, however on the iOS 6 beta is is no longer possible to keep it running while the screen is locked. That used to work in iOS 5, but no more. Can you push out an update which enables background support for White Noise Storm?

I've also encountered this problem, a well-known iOS 6 API change that apparently many in-the-background apps now need to incorporate.

FWIW, the regular White Noise app works fine in the background—the White Noise Storm 'special purpose' version doesn't. Copy & paste some code and recompile? :)

Yes, please!? Sooner than iOS 6 would be good for those of us on the beta. Since WN works fine, putting whatever code it's using into WNS should be OK on iOS 5 too... Right?

Good news, everybody! It appears that this behavior on iOS 6 was not an intended change because its been fixed in iOS 6 beta 4. This, and other apps, once again continue to run when the screen is locked. No fix needed from the app developer!

Now, it still doesn't run in the background, but it never did. As long as I can lock the phone and leave it running that's good enough for me.

Thanks for the update. They did the same thing when iOS 5 first came out but then riots occurred and they changed the logic back. I'm still nervous they may do this so allowing storm to run in background is on the list. Cheers, Todd

When I first updated the new version kept crashing on my iPhone 4S with iOS 6.0.1. I tried shutting down and restarting my phone and it didn't help. However, deleting and reinstall the app did work. So, if anyone else get this problem, try that...
