5.0 adds awesome new features such as importing new sounds and sharing your mixes via e-mail and iTunes file sharing. Bring in recorded loops from White Noise Recorder and generated noise from White Noise Generator. Share mixes between White Noise for iPhone, White Noise Pro for iPad, and White Noise for the Mac!
- Mix up to 5 sounds together on iPhone!
- 3D sound spatial effects can be turned on from the Settings screen
- Full support for Retina display including background images
- Added an 'Import' section to the catalog that is visible when new sounds and mixes are found
- Several optimizations and performance tweaks
- Added 'Disable Help' option in Settings to optionally turn off the help guide
- New application icon

I own, white noise for iphone and just saw the link for white noise recorder after the new upgrade bosting imports of other sounds, so have bought that too, I was hoping that I could import sounds from the itunes library on the phoneinto either app and also that both would not be separate app, have iwasted the money

Since updating my iPad 2 to iOS 5 and update my copy of White Noise Pro, the fade-in effect for alerts/alarms does not work. The alert sound stays faint and does not increase in volume. If I change the alert to NO fade, it is loud again.

Sorry just getting caught up as iOS 5 brought a lot of "new features" that we have been trying to solve. 3D sound is broken on iOS 5 and we had to disable in order to fix the alarm/sound issues. Also screen lock now suspends the application as reported here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=631&p=1758#p1758 to fix. Cheers, Todd

I just downloaded White Noise, and it's fantastic - the huge range of different forms of white noise, and the ability to combine them, is wonderful. I love how easy it is to come up with new (yet still soothing) combinations - I use white noise while I work, or when I'm trying to read complicated text, and it's been a lifesaver - thank you so much for creating this wonderful app!!!

My only question was whether there were any plans to introduce the ability to vary the presence/intensity of the sound loops. Before I discovered White Noise, I was using http://naturesoundsfor.me/ and loved being able to create one constant "base" white noise sound (say, rain), then have another fade in and out gently (say, a crackling fire). This is particularly useful for sounds like the tibetan bowl, which I love, but feels pretty overwhelming to me if it's constantly playing in the mix - having it fade in every once in a while, then out again, is perfect. Would it be possible to introduce this feature?

You can vary the presence and intensity using the mixes feature and placing the sound further away from the listener using left/right and front/back setting. Then you configure the variance setting which animates the sound position in a circular radius based on speed. It is a lot easier to create these kind of mixes with the iPad (Pro) and Mac versions because it visualizes it. However, the same mixes can be accomplished with the iPhone version as well. We will be posting updated help docs shortly. Cheers

When I try to record a new sound using recorder on the iPad, the app crashes once I stop recording - how do I resolve pls?
