Well if you just get instructions you'll have to buy all the pieces and then buy the wood at your local lumber store. I have read they are not the easiest cuts so i preferred to just buy the pre-cut pieces, it was very simple to construct. i'm sure you could save a few bucks but wasn't worth the time it would have taken me and tools i would have had to buy for a one time use... guess if your going to build more than one it could be worth it... good luck

I second Todd's choice on the UAII cabinet. Got mine a week ago and it looks great. Few pieces were damaged during shipping and a quick call to them and they shipped me out new pieces without any questions.

Great company...

build or not to build

I built mine from scratch using the plans from ultimate. It is a lot of work!!!!! I cant tell you how many hours, but alot. Just buy it. I saved a few hundred bucks, but the cost gets up there especially if you buy the laminate for the sides. Also alot of work to put that on! Just save up! I probably spent 30 plus hours on mine. It came out great, but I could have used the time elsewhere.
